I have modified some bicycle brake systems to work as a manual speed controller for machines that are not compatible with the electronic speed controllers such as the Grace speed control.

A new customer in New Mexico who is in the process of building our machine quilting frame has inquired about our opinion on the Red Snappers. I have looked at their system and videos and it looks like a very good concept! So I thought that I would put this out on our blog to see if anyone out there can share with us some first hand knowledge about this system. Your input will be appreciated!
In an effort to make things easier for all of our quilting friends I now have a printable pattern for the gears and stop cogs on the tutorials page of this web site!
On my FAQ page of this site is a video showing the quilt loading process and also in my Machine Quilting Frame Plans CD and download there are diagrams showing a couple different methods of how to load the quilt in the Questions and Answers chapter.
